First Day of the New Liberia Airport Terminal!
As the High Season moves into high gear there is an abundance of great news affecting our area.
Liberia Airport Terminal Opens - On January 12th, 2012 the new Terminal began operations with 4 gates allowing passengers to arrive and depart in the comfort of a state of the art, airconditioned facility.
The Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) is also investing $1million in publicity to draw tuorists to the resort infrastructure surrounding Liberia from South America - namely Brasil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Columbia.
In conjuntion with these efforts, Copa Airlines will now offer flights to and from Panama City and Liberia. This will open up Copa's entire flight route going through the 'Hub of the Americas' and attract visitors from 29 countries and 63 different destinations. Copa also belongs to the Star Alliance and opens up seamless connections to destintions throughout the world right to our doorstep here in Guanacaste. Over 81 flights weekly.
